He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sidney Serpas and Minnie Serpas (Smith); his siblings, Joanna Batons, Fred Serpas and Novel Serpas; and his son-in-law Andy Peters.
He is survived by: his former wife Mavis Moony; his daughter Jacqueline; his wife Norma Serpas; his children, Jackie Serpas Strickland, Becky Serpas Peters, Robert Serpas (Sherry), Raymond Serpas and Russell Stephens; his grandchildren, Solomon Strickland, Lincoln Strickland, Houston Serpas (Sarah), Tyler Serpas (Shelby), Scott Peters (Rebecca), Shelby Nicole Prince (Joshua), Darin Peters (Christina), Diana Dean (Thomas), Becky Tinsley (Dale) and Betsy Rawlinson (Chris); and also Russell. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
