He is survived by: his wife Caroline Soucier Legere of Foley; and his children, Robert Legere, Jr., James Legere, Steven Legere, Tina Savage and Julie Fowler. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
