He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kirksey and Rosa Kirksey (Higdon); his sisters, Ruth Peacock and Jewel; and his children, Roan Taylor, Alice Salter and Lillian Barnes.
He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Franklin Lee Kirksey (Sharon) and James Frederick Kirksey (Julie); his grandsons, Caleb Kirksey (Julie), Nathan Kirksey (Abby) and Seth Kirksey; and his great grandchildren, Naomi and Jane.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pine Rest Funeral Home (16541 US-98, Foley, AL 36535). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
