It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harold Lloyd Mims of Foley, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on August 31, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel F. Mims and Nettie C. Mims; and his brothers, John Floyd Mims, Earl Harris Mims and Jack Thomas Mims.

He is survived by: his wife Jennavee Willis Mims; his sister Mary Anderton; his sister-in-law Martha Jo Childress; his children, Bruce Mims (Mary) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Becky Vaughan (Ken) and Linda Arnold; his grandchildren, Matthew Vaughan (Amanda), Zachary Mims, Allison Rush (Matt) and Drew Vaughan (Mary Claire); and his stepgrandson George Aplin (Holley). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

In accordance with recommendations to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, visitation will be conducted from within vehicles passing underneath the side portico of Thorsby First Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am..

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of choice.
