She was predeceased by: her parents, Hansford Cockerham and Myrtle Franklin Cockerham; her husband Malachi Lay (Mal); her sister Elaine Ewing; her brother-in-law Eldon Ewing; her nephews, Dewayne Ewing, Wesley Roush and James D. Finley (Jay); her brother-in-law J. D. Finley; and her niece Theresa (DeeDee).
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Cockerham (Mary), Chuck Lay (Jeannie) and Stacy Lay (Lisa); her stepson Bobby Lay (Dianne); her son Bobby Williams (Vivien); her grandchildren, Michael Cockerham (Melissa), Joey Cockerham (Sara), Jimmy Cockerham (Alexandra), J. Richard Lay (Carmalena), Brandee Lay Pacey (David), Tyler Lay (Ashli Russell) and Craig Lay; her great grandchildren, Hunter Lay, Erica Lay, Katie Lay, Isabella Lay, Charleigh Lay, Archer Lay, Mckenzie Cockerham, Reece Cockerham, Memphis Cockerham, Leighton Cockerham, Atticus Cockerham, Alasdair Cockerham, Jack Cockerham, Boone Cockerham, Liam Pacey, Reagan Pacey, Embry Russell and Kinsley Lay; and her great great grandchild Hezekiah Lay. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Foley Chapel (2551 S McKenzie St, Foley, AL 36535). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Lay Cemetery - Elberta (25195 Lavinia Ave, Elberta, AL 36530).
