He was predeceased by: his son Clifford E. James, Jr.; and his parents, Harry James and Wilma James. He is survived by: his wife Joyce James of Foley; his sons, Steve James of Elberta, Michael James (Suzie) of Foley and George James (Gay) of Foley; his adoptive son Steve Sanderson of Colorado; his grandchildren, Joann Fletcher, Jerry James, Stephanie Flute, Chris James and Ben Pearce; and his siblings, Harry James (Sunny), Mary James and Deetta Smith. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jamie's honor may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
