He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Fortner and Lois Fortner; and his sisters, Sharon Donaghy and Helen GrathamHe. He is survived by: his children, Carl Robert Fortner III, Rhonda Fortner of Foley, Alabama and Renee Krueger (Bryan) of Foley, Alabama; his grandchildren, Colby of Adam, T. J. and Justin; his great grandchildren, Kinleigh and Adelyn; and his sister Evelyn Hamrick of Foley. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Wolfe Bayview Funeral Home (2551 S McKenzie St, Foley, AL 36535). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
To honor Robert's memory, donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Optimist International Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
