He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Otto and Hilda Rose Breckner; and his daughter Lisa Breckner-Wood. He is survived by: his son Robert Carl Breckner (Rachel) of Gulf Shores, AL; his wife Melanie Breckner of Foley, AL; his sister Clara Heilmeier Harris of Foley, AL; his stepchildren, Jay Sikes and Catherine Sikes Rowell; his nephew Johnny Heilmeier (Babette) of Summerdale, AL; and his nieces, Susie King (Teddy) of Foley, AL, Jacque Mixon (Walter) of Magnolia Springs, AL, Karen Mann (Bill) of Mobile, AL, Karen Brais of East Waterboro, ME and Connie Brais of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Baldwin Education Foundation (Foley, AL) with a memo of "Lisa Breckner-Wood Memorial Scholarship".
