He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pettibone and Creola Pettibone; his wife Estella Ramsey Pettibone; his grandson Michael Safford, Jr.; his son-in-law Michael Safford, Sr.; and his brothers, Willie Pettibone, David Pettibone, Ledger Pettibone and Johnny Pettibone.
He is survived by: his daughters, Virginia Pettibone, Latesica Pettibone and Arlene Safford; his grandchildren, Shakira Pettibone, Estella Safford, Latesica Safford, Amiah Reid, Nevaeha Pettibone and Amir Sims; his siblings, Raymond Pettibone (Patricia) and Mary Lois Burton (Henry); his sisters-in-law, Rochester, Mary Pettibone and Pamela Pettibone; his godchildren, Kelvin Richardson and Lateica Brown Sewer; and his caregiver Darlene Steele.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Southside Baptist Church (323 W Michigan Ave, Foley, AL 36535). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Southside Cemetery.
