He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Ramsey and Mary Ramsey; his wife Tess R. Ramsey; his sisters, Elizabeth and Sarah Staggs Hollowell; and his grandson Justin Ramsey.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Ramsey (Susan) of Killen and Leigh Simmons of Muscle Shoals; his grandsons, Tyler Ramsey of Killen, Chandler Simmons (Sara Grace) of Leighton and Ramsey Simmons of Muscle Shoals; and his great grandchildren, Carly, Madison, Noah of Boca Raton, Stella Jane and Betty Lou of Leighton. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greenview Funeral Home (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenview Memorial Chapel (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633).
