She was predeceased by : her parents, Arvel Pettus and Mammie Pettus; her daughter-in-law Allyson Hanson; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Berry and Brenda Pettus.

She is survived by : her husband Quinton Hanson; her sons, Paul Hanson (Amanda) and Will Hanson (Meg); her siblings, Gail Berry and Ronald Pettus; and her grandchildren, Henry Hanson, Pierce Hanson, Cecelia Hanson, John Hanson, Hudson Perry, Harper Perry and Charlotte. She is also survived by her co-workers, church friends, tennis friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodmont Baptist Church (2001 Darby Dr, Florence, AL 35630). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
