We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2025, Sandra Gail Bretherick Birchfield of Florence, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Zebedee Liles and Lillie Gray Liles; and her siblings, David Liles, Charles Liles, Willodean Belew, Carolyn Threet, Delora "Toad" Hendrix and Glenda Krewson.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny Birchfield; her son Greg Bretherick (Donnell); her stepchildren, Johnny Birchfield II and Shonda L. Jerkins (Ben); her brother Danny Liles; and her grandchildren, Dustin Bretherick, Tyler Bretherick, Brittney Hyde, Natasha White, Cole Birchfield, Ali Atchley, Meral Thomas and Jack Jerkins. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeal Home (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Greenhill Funeal Home Chapel (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Greenhill Cemetery (820 Co Rd 144, Killen, AL 35645).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Greenhill United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
