He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Fay and Beatrice Foster Stansell. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Stansell McFarlen (Herschel); and his former wife Patricia Morgan (Pat). He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew, six grand nephews and several cousins.
