It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Preston Earl Hillis of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. V. Hillis and Pauline H. Hillis; and his granddaughter Amelia Nell Hillis. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Bowling Hillis; his sons, Patrick (Mary) of Decatur and Robbie (Misty) of Florence; his grandchildren, Mary Kate, Mac, Ben and Lydia; his siblings, Frances Moore (Mike) and Michael Hillis (late Ann); and his nieces and nephews, Jeff Bowling, Dennis Moore, Jason Moore, Jamie Hillis, Melissa Lyles and Brianna Maharrey.
