He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. McAfee and Beatrice Trammell McAfee of Virginia; his former wife Sylvia Rebecca Davis McAfee; and his siblings, James Lewis McAfee and Marjorie Elanda McAfee Crabb.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Childers McAfee of Florence, AL; his children, Victor Lynn McAfee (Lorri) of Greenhill, AL, Lowell Eric McAfee (Ruth) of Madison, MS and Beverly McAfee Smith (Danny) of Florence, AL; his stepdaughters, Denise Childers Murks (Michael) of Florence, AL, Phyllis Crocker (Lawrence) of Birmingham, AL and Lydia Childers Collins (Butch) of Killen, AL; and his sister-in-law Juanita McAfee of Leoma, TN. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
