She was predeceased by: her husband James Roy Walker; her daughter Brenda Medley (George Ellis, III); and her sisters, Geneva Chittom and Joan Banks. She is survived by: her children, Janice Carole "Cookie" Michelsen (Gary), Marcia Ellis and James Roy Walker, Jr.; her son-in-law Freeman Medley; her brother Gerald Stanford (Mary Lee); and her grandchildren, Brent Medley, Brooke Edie, Kimberly Craft, George Ellis, IV, Cy Ellis, Meghan Walker and Houston Walker. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
