He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Maureen (Lane) and Woodrow Madison Salter; his son James Mark Salter; and also John Madison Salter of Lilburn. He is survived by: his wife Bessie Valcarcel; and his children, Judith Ann Salter of Atlanta and Brian Bearss of Minneapolis. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
