He was predeceased by: his spouse Jan. He is survived by: his children, Larry Shields (Michele), Patricia Chandler (J. D.) and Craig Shields (Marchelle); and his grandchildren, Abby Grace, SueEllen, William, Ashlee, Jason and Adam. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
