We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2023, at the age of 75, Joe Cooke VanDyke Jr. in Florence, Alabama, born in Lexington, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Cooke, Sr. and Charlotte Locke VanDyke. He is survived by: his wife Rita Gossett VanDyke; his sons, Will VanDyke (Susan) of Brentwood, TN and Doug VanDyke (Brandi) of Florence, AL; his grandchildren, Breanna Martin, Davis VanDyke, Claire VanDyke, David VanDyke and Luke VanDyke; his sister Glenda Taylor; and his nieces, Vonda Fowke (Mike) and Valerie Herndon (Brad).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benevolence Ministry at Magnolia Church of Christ.
