He is survived by: his wife Stella Thigpen; his children, Bonnie Scott (Ricky), Judy Herston, James A. Thigpen Jr. (Kim), Dennis Thigpen, Donna Peters, Amanda Johnson and Jody Littleton (Valerie); and his sister Lucille Richardson. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
