In the vast expanse of eternity, Fredrick Leon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Fredrick Leon farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne Gautney Butler; his parents, Otis Leo Butler and Vera Mae Richardson Butler; his brother-in-law Ed Pettus; and his close friend Kenneth Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Butler, Duane Butler and Melanie McWilliams (Harlan); and his siblings, O. L. Butler, Brenda Pettus and Patricia Newton (Alfred). He is also survived by grandchildren; (20) great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greenhill Funeral Home (8450 US-43, Florence, AL 35634). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
