He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Rufus and Mary Lou Butler; and his siblings, Junior, Charlie, Robert Lee Butler, Joyce, Reeder Mae, Helen and Betty Ruth Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Bevis Butler; his children, Michael Butler and Kristen Butler; his grandchildren, Melony and Katey Butler; his brother Jerry Butler; and his siblings-in-law, Randall, Billy "Bird" (Tessie), Johnny, Kenny, Mark (Vicki), Joe (Linda) and Kim. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
