He is survived by: his wife Edna Carter Benson; his children, Daniel Benson (Jennifer), Kimberly Benson Young, Bobby Seat, Edna Mae Kitchen, Ann Carter Francis and Cody Pickens; his siblings, Raymond Benson (Peggy), Sammy Benson, Ruth Lewis (Hubert) and Linda Russell (James); his grandchildren, Kayla Benson, Andrea Benson, Haley Morris, Jaycee Mack, Jordan Taylor, Jayden Taylor, Taylor Bevis, Abby Smith, David Young, Kendal Varden, Josh Varden, Bobby Newton, Elizabeth Francis, Daniel Quin, Valerie Baster, Grant Baster, Charlie Barrier, Lyric Pickens, Lilo Pickens and Samatha Pickens; his great grandchildren, Stormy Bevis, Preston Bevis, Lincoln Smith, Jax Young, Liam Young of Lilah Caperton, S. J, Aliana Caperton and Ella Butler; and his nieces and nephews, Jayden Taylor, Bobby Newton, Cody Pickens, Donald Kitchen, Nate Kitchen, Cadin England and Spencer Patterson.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home - Florence (12081 State Hwy 20, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the same location.
