We bid farewell to Columbus Nevada Womble of Florence, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 21, 2025 at the age of 98. Columbus touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Womble and Dorothy Womble; and his siblings, Edgar Womble, Jr., Charles "Dick" Womble, Arthur Womble and Edna Lela.

He is survived by: his children, Joel Womble (Caryn) of Michigan, Jean Ann Blethen of Michigan and Jane Sue Landis (Ryan) of Michigan; his brother Houston Womble (Pam) of Michigan; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua Blethen of Texas, Jamie Koop of Tennessee, Brent, Adam Womble of Michigan, Christopher and Stephanie Cornwell of Michigan. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenview Memorial Park (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633).

“Wish we could make it to see all the family i have never met. Wish I could have met him as an adult and he met my babies. I will miss our conversations about mowing grass, the weather there and the weather in Texas. Will miss all of his stories he would tell me about. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.”
