He is survived by: his son Chip Simpson (Deanna); his grandchildren, Whitney Thigpen and Logan Simpson (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Chloe Thigpen, Reece Thigpen, Lucy Simpson, Rhett Simpson and Riggs Simpson.
