He was predeceased by: his parents, Mona Gusmus and Frank Gusmus. He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley Wheeles and Jennifer Underwood; his adoptive children, Breanna Gusmus and Elijah Gusmus; his stepson Thomas Cherry; and his siblings, Rebecca Bowden, William Gusmus and Paul Gusmus.
