He is survived by: his wife Katherine Balentine Newton of Florence, AL; his daughter Teresa Haddix of Nashville, TN; his stepchildren, Regina Hamm (Steve) and Steven Bradley (Kristie); his grandchildren, Amy Mashburn of Nashville, TN and Lindsay Strong of Franklin, TN; his stepgrandchildren, Addie Grace Green (Jack), Kutter Bradley, Levi Bradley, McKenzie Hamm and Haley Hamm (Brady); his great grandchildren, Clara King (Hunter) of Nashville, TN, Emma Bailey (Joshua), Maxwell Strong of Franklin, TN and Metea Strong of Franklin, TN; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaden Bruce of Florence, AL, Christopher Roddy of Florence, AL and Addilyn South of Florence, AL; his great great grandchild Elliott King; his brothers, Joe Newton (Faye) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Harold Dean Newton of Ethridge, TN; and his pets, Charlie and Bo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
