He is survived by: his granddaughter Rachel; his brother Fred; his wife Janice James; and his children, Beth Anne and Chuck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daisy's Place in care of Sherrod Avenue Church.
