It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annette (Margie) Katechis of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Jernigan and Irene Hendricks; and her siblings, Maxwell Jernigan, David Jernigan, Wilbur Jernigan and Venora Deavers.
She is survived by: her significant other Chris Katechis; her daughters, Cindy Smith (Anthony W. Smith) and Jennifer Katechis Ouvrard; her grandchildren, Anna Catherine Riley (Dustin), Hillary Hines (Andy), Anthony Katechis Smith and Eva Anne Vance (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Brantley, Maggie Willis, Georgia and Annie Hines; and her siblings, Kenneth Jernigan (Muriel), Elizabeth Crane (Jimmy) and Estora Pugh (Harold). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
