He is survived by: his wife Connie Holt Gruber; his daughter Tamla Camille Tooker (Kevin); and his sisters, Betty Pettus, Barbara Higginbotham (Tommy), Carolyn Bracey, Martha Hamner (Mark) and Nerina Connolly (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
