He was predeceased by: his parents, Holland Hughes and Annie Martin Hughes; and his siblings, Raymond "Buck" Hughes, Tony Hughes, Steve Hughes, Charlene Pickron, Sara Dubose, Karren Hughes and Brenda Steele.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ginger Irby (Jason), Lena Hughes, Angelena Ward (Aaron) and Ciera Randoph Hughes (Bert); his sisters, Jan Huckaba (Jimmy), Gennella Hughes, Frances Hughes (Tammy Hughes) and Lynn Hughes (Mavis Hughes); his grandchildren, Taylor, Lana, Ora, Aaralyn and McAllyn; and his great grandchild Layla.
