She was predeceased by: her father Raymond Hoover; her husband Bernard E. Dyess; her son Roland Dyess; her mother Esther Messer Hoover; and her siblings, Faye, Colvin, Ray, Paul Howell and Rufus Hoover.
She is survived by: her brother Victor Hoover (Hilda); her children, Cindy Dyess Wade (Alvin), Julie Dyess Goodson (Greg) and Jonathan Dyess (Shelly); her daughter-in-law Teena Stewart Dyess; her grandsons, Jeremy Dyess, Adam Dyess (Dianna), Chris Davenport (Katy), Justin Davenport (Alina) and Thomas Dyess; her stepgranddaughter Morgan Bozarth (Cody); and her grandchildren, Brenya, Logan, Sophia, Ashley, Raeleigh, Lila, Allie, Madelyn, Amelia, Weston Davenport and Estella Bozarth.
