He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Childs and Vesta Miller Childs; and his brothers, Willie, Epaphroditus (Ditus), Sivan Stephanus and Nahum Onesimus Childs.
He is survived by: his wife Guyndel Paul Childs; his children, Anthony Drake Childs, Timothy Andrew Childs, Margie Dale Stevens, Lillie Patrice Andress and Michelle Jean Meadows (Paul); and his siblings, Matred, Dwight Childs, Erie Adamson, Clara Cannull (Gene) and Glenda Lawson (Al). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
