He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carmical (Pat); his son Phillip Douglas Carmical; his granddaughter Sonya Smith (Scott); his stepdaughter Shayni Grant; his grandchildren, Margaret and Dashiell Carmical; his stepgrandchildren, Chandler and Hannah Grant; and his brother Bobby Carmical.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Cancer Freeze, PO Box 92, Florala AL 36442.
