It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Rose Boutwell of Flomaton, Alabama, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Franklin McCurdy and Mamie Catherine Settles McCurdy; her children, Carlton Cook and Angel Rose Maddox; her grandsons, John Wayne Hays Jr. and Kenneth Sewell; her great great grandchild Mason Ryals; and her siblings, Mildred Johnson, Iona Busbee, Wilda Williams, Grace McCullough, Nita Pace and Everette McCurdy.

She is survived by: her daughter Mary Hays (John Wayne) of Coushatta, LA; and her daughter-in-law Marion Cook of Cantonment, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, twenty- three great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
