Sylvia Laverne Giles Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sylvia Laverne Giles of Flat Rock, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sylvia Laverne Giles to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Harve Giles; her parents, Orban Dotson and Evelyn Dotson; and her siblings, Barbara Pankey, Sidney Dotson, Shelia Lambert and William "Billy Ray" Dotson.
She is survived by: her children, Benny Giles (Denise) of Flat Rock, AL and Paula Brown (Eric) of Ider, AL; her grandchildren, Heather Taylor (Tyler), Hayle Townley (Clay), Mayce Gilbert (Jared) and Luke Brown; her siblings, James Dotson (Linda) and Wanda Farmer; and her great grandchildren, Channing Taylor and Charlotte Townley. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory (11415 S Main St, Trenton, GA 30752). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
