She was predeceased by: her parents, Jakey Wilson and LaRue Hortenberry; her sister Betty Long; and her daughter-in-law Roberta Austin. She is survived by: her husband Doug Austin; her children, Larry Austin and Jami Romines (Scott); her grandchildren, Lillian McCurry (Tyler), Victor Austin and Ashley Austin (Corey Smith); her great grandchildren, Liam McCurry, Ashton Smith, Scottie Smith, Dahlia Smith and Rayna Smith; her siblings, Larry Wilson (Donna) and Peggy Redden; and her close friend Evelyn Bryant. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Shirley.
