It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Freeman Brown of Flat Rock, Alabama, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Afies Brown; her parents, Willie Freeman and Plumer Freeman; her brothers, Robert Freeman (Emma), Donald Freeman, Tommy Freeman (Cora) and Walter Freeman; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Freeman and Jewel Freeman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherlon Brown and Patty Cooper (Lee); her granddaughters, Ashley Bevel (Christopher) and Macy Cooper; and her siblings, Linda Laney (John), William Freeman, Clarence Freeman and Gerald Freeman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
