He was predeceased by: his parents, Rass Jackson and Alma Parson Jackson (Bobbie Jean Hawes); his children, David Lee Jackson and Tammy Jackson; his grandson Danny Jackson; his siblings, Mary Jackson, Erwin Jackson and Virgil Jackson; and his brother-in-law Jerry Hakes.
He is survived by: his son John Ross Jackson; his siblings, Shirley Higdon (Conard), Peggy Hakes, Clara Whitmore (Rickey), Dale Wilson (Eddie), Early Jackson (Shirley) and Ralph Jackson (Bernice); his daughter-in-law Sherry Jackson; and his granddaughter Ashley Jackson Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
