He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Brown and Margaret Frazier Brown; his stepmother Gustie Brown; and his siblings, Ardelle Brown, Unice Brown, Estelle Brown, Emma Freeman, Odell White, Illean Lowrey, Ethel Shrader, Annie Oney, Jewell Freeman, Herbert Freeman, Elmos, Willis, William and Demos Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Freeman Brown; his daughters, Sherlon Brown and Patty Cooper (Lee); his grandchildren, Ashley Bevel (Christopher) and Macy Cooper; and his siblings, Dorothy Wooten, Faye Edmonds, Laura Robinson and Emmery Brown (Joyce). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
