He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hicks of Five Points, AL; his daughters, Shakiki Briscoe (Kevin) of Five Points, AL and Cashaundra Hicks of Valley, AL; his sister Dorothy Avery (K. C.) of Valley, AL; his grandchildren, Keaun'tea Holloway, Kevin Briscoe, Jr. and Shakeriana Paige; his aunts and uncles, Ella Jackson (Jack) of Opelika, AL, Dorothy Dozier of Valley, AL, Conzo Copeland, Lenard Copeland of Valley, AL and Roger Copeland of Opelika, AL; his siblings-in-law, Wendy Kyles, Christella Bell of Valley, AL, Mary Todd (Gary) of Opelika, AL, Charlene Kyles of Five Points, AL, Anthony Kyles and Charlie Kyles; and his close friends, Minister Denise Grigg Reed, Calvin Cochran and Willie Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (11322 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, La Fayette, AL 36862). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Pine Hill Cemetery (2167 22nd St SW, Lanett, AL 36863).
