He is survived by: his son Edward Wayne; his daughter-in-law Janet Mabry; his granddaughter Brooke Mabry; his stepgranddaughters, Jordane of Griffin and Taylor Coppock of Griffin; his siblings, John Wayne Simons of Butler, Ruth Blair, Nellie Wright of Five Points and Lenora Simons of Valley; and his close friend Jeannette Johnson of Hogansville.
