She was predeceased by: her parents, William Benefield and Lillie Clifton Benefield; her husband Bobby Laster; her daughter Judith Ann Laster Garey; and her brothers, Richard Earl, Charles Gene and Bud Benefield.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Ann Laster of Verden, OK, Brenda Sue Hammock (Chris) of Roanoke, Robert Gene Laster (Amy) of Palmetto, GA and Terry Lee Laster (Carrie Holloway) of Roanoke; and her siblings, Willie Sue Kirby (Harry) of Valley, AL, Frances Kemp of Plant City, FL, Daisy Mae Arnold of Shelby, TN and Clyde Benefield (Terri) of LaGrange, GA.. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to go toward final expenses.
