He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Blakney and Ruby Lee Blakney; and his siblings, Arthur Blakney, Junior Blakney, Johnny Blakney, Winston Blakney, Audey Blakney, Claudie Hilyer, Charlene Keith, Shirley McCool and Virginia Eglinton.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Blakney; his children, Margaret Ellen Stines and James Wyman Blakney; and his grandchildren, Susan Sparks (Brian), Amy Blakney, Candy Mullenix (Mike), Rachel Fairchild (Chris) and Bryan Matthew Stines. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
