With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Townsend Cj (Fayette, Alabama), who passed away on February 23, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Townsend and Nancy Belle Adams Townsend; and his sister Esther Townsend McFarland Grice. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Bellotte of Fayette, AL; his children, Sharon R. Townsend of Pell City, Cecilia C. Benton (Curtis) of Fayette, Harold E. Townsend (Nancy) of Jackson, AL and John M. Townsend; and his grandsons, Keith Townsend, Scott Townsend, Jeremy Benton, Cody Benton, Chris Segraves and Brandon Nichols. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
