She was predeceased by: her son Virgil Wayne Stephenson, Jr.; her parents, James Sanders and Audrey Beard Sanders; and her siblings, James Virgil Sanders, Arthur Thomas Sanders, Jerry Wayne Sanders, Jeanette Clements, Betty Honeycutt, Hazel Smit and Myrtle Posey.
She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Watkins; and her sisters, Sara Smith, Sue Foster and Teresa Elmore. She is also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
