He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Jesse C. L. Cannon and Margaret Hughes Cannon; and his sister Eleanor Fitzgerald Cannon. He is survived by: his sons, Roland Nalls, Randall Nalls and Robert Cannon; and his siblings, Sebastian Cannon (Sandra), Christopher Cannon (Nikki), Linda Davis, Iris Robertson (Cedric), Alicia Nalls (Aaron), Roxie Wells (Reginald) and Mae Ruth Cochran. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
