She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas "J. C."; and her parents, William Patrick Hughes and Lillian Rebecca Bates Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Shawn Shaw (Michael) and Danny Bobo; her sister Reenay Rogers (Ridge); and her sister-in-law Ruby Walters (Raiford). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
