He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Leonard of Millport and Joyce Childress of Fayette; his niece Dawn Winters (Matt) of Millport; his nephews, Chuck Fields (Rhoda) of Millport and Joe Childress (Melissa); his brother-in-law Roger Dale Rosser of Daphne, AL; and his close friend Virginia Owens of Fayette.

“Pat and Joyce, I was saddened to hear of Marlon's passing. I have a lot of fond memories of him and Frances coming to New Orleans during the summer to visit with my mother, daddy, Evie and I and how they took us swimming in the lake then to the amusement park. It was a big part of my childhood that I will always remember. Then of us coming to Millport. You are both in my prayers. I miss and love you both. Charlene”
