He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nichols and Flora Flippo Nichols; and his sister Pauline Nichols Key (Johnnie Mack). He is survived by: his wife Hilda Key Nichols of Fayette; his children, Annette Nichols Tedford (Ramon) of Jasper, Karen Nichols Norris (Edward) of Lupton, Regina Nichols West (Stephen) of Fayette and Ted Nichols (Candace) of Dade City, FL; and his sisters, Ruth Nichols Norris (Doyle) of Eldridge and Brenda Nichols Latham (Harold) of Carbon Hill. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
